Here it is, September 2023, and I have finally moved from a small town in Idaho to a MUCH larger city in Washington. What brings me here to Washington? Besides a Jeep loaded down with the majority of my past and 2 cats, I have moved in with my boyfriend of 8 years. So this means, new job, new people, and a new living situation. People are meh. I’m not an overly social person anymore for reasons that maybe one day I’ll go into. We will see where this blog goes. If anything like my daily inner monolog… Then this will be interesting for us all. 🙂 The new job is questionable. It is a job, which I am grateful to have. Problem lies in the amount of hours (or lack of) it seems I’ll be able to get and the pay rate. Quitting in not an option because I took the first position to give me a chance. Another wait and see, but I do hope it works out. I am hopeful my worries are nothing more than newbie nerves. As for the living situation, well I’m now learning to “love” apartment life. Not a huge fan of the downstairs neighbors airing out their dirty laundry for everyone to hear on their balcony. Maybe you are wondering where the issue is? Why not pull out your phone and just record it? Post it on social media like everyone else. The answer is fairly simple. I grew up in an area where I was forged in fire. By this, I mean I am independent, opinionated, protective of others, and can stand my ground when needed. All things I’m loud and proud about it. Best if I ignore it, and by ignore it I mean I walk away annoyed by their noise grumbling to myself as I stew over their show.
So this brings us up so why a blog. Well, hope is someone is going to want to read about my chaos. I thought maybe it would be fun and interesting to put myself out here for people to follow along. The idea is to share my experience as I muddle along finding my place here in Washington. I’m slowly working on setting up my own Etsy store to sell my crocheted items. Winter is coming, so it’s a good time for beanies, scarves, and maybe some mittens. I’ve got some ideas for various crocheted baby items. Even some cat toys, that my 2 girls have already did some quality checking for me on a few test items. They work for treats. Cheap labor at it’s finest. 🙂
